Magic Leap One

I recently (arguably compulsively) purchased a Magic Leap One. I look at it as an investment that will motivate me to develop AR applications and be at the forefront of spatial computing. I definitely love it so far. It turns the world around me into an After Effects project. Additionally, I love working with Spatiate and I’m excited to keep making videos for them.

ISSUES

  • The limited field of view is terrible. I hope that the first thing they fix on the next iteration because the large amount of the lens without digital display is very problematic.
  • Start up time is incredibly slow.
  • It looks ridiculous.

Nonetheless, owning a Magic Leap and seeing how incredibly useful spatial computing is has me very optimistic for the future of the technology.
